When I moved to the United States 3 years ago, I believed I would miss nothing apart from my family and friends. But boy, was I wrong. I’ve missed the culture, the family gatherings, the food and most importantly my shopping sprees to my favorite brand, EGO! My trip to Pakistan began with a thrill! The entire family welcomed me with such warmth that I instantly realized what I’d been missing all along. However, my visit was a surprise for my mother, and after endless hugs and kisses, teary eyed she said, “I would have bought clothes for you and cooked your favorite meals if I knew you were coming”.

“I am here to stay for a while, you can cook my favorite dishes every day and as for clothes,
guess what mommy?”

“What? You’re not going shopping today!”

“Haha, mom, you haven’t changed a bit! You’re still bossy and you always know what I am thinking!”

The plan was to celebrate Bakra Eid or Eid-al-Adha with my family back home. The event was followed by my cousin’s engagement, and I was totally looking forward to it! I mean how could you not miss Pakistani weddings? The music, the thrill, the food and most of all the shimmery outfits! Oh my goodness, the outfits!

EGO’s Dolmen Mall was the closest to my home and we rushed into the store located on the ground floor. The store dazzled with EGO’s Luxury Wear displayed all around the store, and I was glad to see clothes for kids, and women young and old! This was their Festive Wear for Eid ’25. Helping my mom choose her Eid outfit, I took her over to Soul’s premium wear which always has an elite touch that I love! The fabric is rich and soft; the color tones are often kept subtle with an intricate work of embellishments layered on the garment. My mother was quick to choose herself 3 outfits from Soul by EGO in cream, pink and mint colors which looked so elegantly graceful that I ended up picking out a total of 2 Soul outfits! “Time to twin”, I told my mother.

Moving further through the store, I stumbled upon EGO’s 2-piece sequenced embroidered ready to wear sets that looked so delicately gorgeous that I knew I needed these for Eid! Choosing my favorites from the collection, I also pulled out a couple of 2 & 3-piece richly embroidered sets with vivid print work on them. These styles looked gorgeous with their sequenced embroidered dupattas- honestly for me, the life of the ensemble is in its dupatta and I like mine sparkling!

I thanked her for her kind gesture and strolled through more of EGO’s Premium Collection made ready in gotta and lace detailing with sequenced embroideries that glimmered with the light’s reflection. I carried a black 3-piece and another maroon 3-piece luxury wear to the trial room, and as expected, EGO’s perfect cut gave me the perfect fit! “Damn, I look like a Diva! LOL”. I don’t know what it’s about EGO that I always end up buying more than I need. These outfits were set aside for my cousin’s engagement following Eid.

All these years in the States did not change my fashion preference I wondered. I realized I was in love with EGO all the more, and by this time, EGO had improved its styles all the more!
